Over the past weekend Peter and I have been praying about why we are moving to South Carolina.
WorshipArts has been growing rapidly, and Peter truly feels that it is his calling to lead it. We wanted to be sure moving would be the best way to steward our calls. To make a long weekend of praying short, we feel that instead of putting it on hold for a year, it would be best for Peter to stay and continue WorshipArts! Which means we will not be moving to South Carolina in July but will instead be staying here in Kalamzoo!
To those who knew of our plans, we felt that we were going to South Carolina to take a year to really focus on our marriage and preparing to launch WorshipArts in a larger way when we returned. We had made the decision to go because it was the only clear open door to get away for a while and focus on our marriage. This weekend we wanted to make sure that was the wisest thing to do concerning all areas of our lives. We also truly felt that God wanted us to make this decision based on what we wanted--we believe we would have still been under His favor if we had gone. However, we believe God will be blessing our marriage just as much here in Kalamazoo and that because He has already shown so much favor for WorshipArts that we are doing the right thing by staying.
Thank you to everyone who has been praying for us! We are currently looking at apartments in the area, Peter is in the market for a job to supplement WorshipArts after we get married, and I will continue to work at New Day, which is where we will be attending church.
So again, thanks for your prayers and being such amazing friends in our lives!
