This Blog - A Brainstorming Post

Well, well! This blog has drifted to the back burner these past weeks... (Oh dear, did it really turn into months!?) Time to brainstorm, and include you as well!

I've been thinking about how I need to keep writing, so I'm toying with the idea of having particular updates on different days of the week. This idea was concoucted due to a few reasons. There is so much going on in my life it has been difficult for me to find time to write, and then when I could write I don't even know where to start. Also, I've been realizing that this blog doesn't really have a theme other than "Whatever Tori Wants to Write About" which can be great, but the lack of direction has led to a lack of posts. In addition, I've seen many other blogs have a weekly photo update or other themed days, and that has somewhat inspired this idea. What I am thinking will actually happen is I will end up writing about whatever I want anyways, but when I don't know what to say I can always go back into the themes.

So, now the question is, what themes? Here are some of the area's in my life:

  • God/Theological/Spiritual Thoughts
  • "Peter and I" Stories and Memories
  • Wedding Planning and Adventures
  • School
  • Family
  • Friends
  • Things I'm Pondering
  • Observations on Others, Places, or Myself

Hm...looks like I've already come up with more than seven! Also, when school starts, I probably won't be able to update everyday. Perhaps these can become post categories, or labels? Lets see...I suppose I will start out with the goal to write three posts a week--so that means updates on three of these areas. Then this blog can still be about my life, but it can also have more direction and therefore be easier for you to understand and follow. Sounds good to me!

So, dear readers, which category(ies) are you most interested in?

Just dropped by from SITS.
I would say write what appeals to you the most! That way you'll be more likely to want to do it and we'll always enjoy reading it.

Just keep doing whatever strikes your fancy each day. Some days you feel like writing, some days you don't. If you have themes you will feel forced and then the blog is no longer fun. Just be you - that has worked great so far! Either way -I love reading your blog.

I've thought about doing the daily-post thing, certain topics assigned to certain days... but I don't seem to have the time to pull off a daily update, no matter how simplistic I try to make it! LOL Good luck with that... :)
